This is the second Diono car seat we buy, we love it. Very comfortable and we always travel on plane with them. We feel the safest with this brand

Love this car seat. Everything about it says luxury even down to the clicking sound the buckle makes when it’s being fastened. My toddler daughter loves it and definitely seemed more comfortable in it on long rides than the previous one we had.

Car seat is great, never received the cup holder

I have a honda fit sport and need to fit 3 kiddos across the back (only 2 in car seats yet) we had cheap cosco car seats but it was still hard to fit them with the arm rests and cup holders. My S/O and I have gone back and forth about getting a bigger vehicle but ultimately car seats are still a lot cheaper than a new car.I did a lot of research into what was the slimmest seats, the dimensions aren’t that much smaller than the cosco one’s but when the price dropped I decided to bite the bullet and try them. I purchased two. I was surprised at how narrow they actually are! They are heavy but the padding is nice and I like the color variety. I also like that they convert so easy for rear to forward facing. The only problem I had installing them was figuring out how to get it tight. I’m my car the seats have to be in the most upright position for forward facing. There are several different ways your supposed to install it depending on the weight of your child/front or rear facing. If you can read the manual you should be able to figure it out. It’s not that hard.My only complaint really is that our middle munchkin is just to short for a booster without a high back but his head is several inches above the headrest. He’s well under the 120 lb weight limit. I get that it’s a compact seat but it could be just a little taller.Over all I will be keeping both seats and just using both for our littlest in difrent vehicle.I can confidently say I could fit 3 of these across my honda fit. If you have 3 very close in age/size this is still a great option but I don’t honestly think that a child could buckle him or her self in with the lap belt if all three were right together. At least not in my car.

Had one for our oldest. Got another for our second. These have a slimmer design so their easier to fit next to each other in a backseat

I’ve loved these car seats for so long. They’re great for small cars, keep your kiddos safe, and are so easy to install. I love that they last through a child’s car seat era. As a foster parent, these have been so versatile to support any kiddo I take. I ordered two new ones to help accommodate our growing family. Great product!

Do not buy for Tesla model Y. Both the provided “latch” system and the seatbelt method do not work and cannot be tightened enough. With maximum effort from a 40 year old 200 lb man the seat still moved 6+ inches left to right.

I really want to like these car seats because being able to get three in a row or at least having extra space in the middle seat is really attractive. However, they have some design flaws that I am just can’t get past. For reference I am using these in a truck so your mileage may vary. First major issue is the rear latch. The latch tensioner is located down by the latch and is a real pain to tight or loosen. Good luck if it’s behind fold down seats like in a pickup. I have almost had to resort to cutting the strap to get the seat out. Also in forward facing the belt pass through holes are at an off angle and make getting the belt snug without bunching and twisting the strap next to impossible. Lastly the children’s belts are nice and easy to adjust but the crotch strap has a pad that isn’t captured so every time you pull your kid out it comes off with them. Super annoying and we will for sure lose them at some point. Not related to use but we purchase two of these and one was missing some of the hardware to do rear facing. Didn’t matter to us since we were only doing forward facing but could be an issue for others. Overall these have potential but I am not sure they are the best unless you absolutely need three across. Oh and the cup holder was a real after thought. It gets pulled out and goes flying in our car most rides.

I’ve wanted this carseat for years and finally upgraded since my youngest needed a new seat. I’m very pleased. I exclusively used Gracco seats before and really had to study the manual on this one. It’s heavy! Well made and sturdy. The only questionable point is the side flaps that pop down next to the thighs. My kids are rough on seats and only time will tell if this feature will hold up.

Slim fitting car seat, easily fit 3 across, easy to to install, comfortable, folds up for transport, plush seat, sure is sturdy.

There were 2 features I purchased this for. The narrow construction that allows for 3 carseats side by side. It took 2 of these and another narrow seat to fit forward facing in a Saturn ion. Second is the all in one. Won’t need to buy another seat or booster.
If used rear facing, these take up more room than other seats. They are tall, plus the angle make it difficult to fit in a small car with a tall person in the front seat. Would not work for an infant in my Ion.
I also like that is very sturdy. There’s lots of metal in the construction. Feels safer. The trade-off is that it’s heavy. But that’s not a concern unless moving it from car to car all the time.
Have only used as a forward facing carseat so far. But I like all the options that it can be used for. There are less expensive seats, but having to buy a rear facing, then forward, then a booster ads up. May save money in the long run if starting with just this one all-in-one.
On the other hand, the dedicated infant car seats that can detach are super handy for going into stores without unbuckling your baby. Something to consider.
Overall, highly recommend this seat.

I checked Diono official website, the manufacturer actually made this picture stating full steel core very misleading. The actual item doesn’t come as full steel core at all, the entire back is made of plastic plate, not steel plate at all. This seat is heavy, so there are metal parts in it for sure, the materials are good quality, everything is great, except the misleading full steel back plate.

Buena calidad, muy seguro y sencillo de instalar

Perfect size and feels safer than a booster.
Looks good and can resell and make most of the money back.

We chose this seat for our toddler since it is approved for airline use. This is also our second car seat so we can minimize the shuffling that we kept doing with the existing seat. This Radian is a very solid seat. It takes up less room than our other seat, but is noticeably heavier. Our toddler loves the seat and loves to say Diono. When we first received it, I thought it was missing the harness pads so I was going to return it to Babyz Corner, but Babyz Corner suggested contacting Diono support first. I got on chat with Diono and told them I was missing parts, specifically the pads. She was very courteous and quickly sent me the attached photo, asking me to fold the seat closed again and look in the cavity in the photo. Sure enough, the pads were tucked up in that cavity, still in their bag. Support was quick and pleasant, so I felt confident in keeping the seat now. This seat is not as easy to get attached snug in the car as our other seat, but it is still a well made seat for our toddler.

Did quite a bit of research and this car seat has been great. It fits comfortably in our sedan. The straps are smooth to adjust and don’t get twisted. My toddler seems comfortable in the seat and it seems very secure. Great value too.

I need to have an adult sitting between the baby seats every now and then so I go for narrow car seats. I also have the Graco Tranzitions and a Clek Foonf. The Diono is heavy and strong kind of like the Clek, but narrow and minimalist like the Tranzitions. I would only use this seat rear-facing with the anti-rebound bar.
I love the Graco Tranzitions, and my Clek, BUT the former is built out of plastic and the latter is very bulky. The Radian seems to have the best of both worlds, although it’s not as light as the Tranzitions and not as sturdy as a Clek.

Nice car seat! Very heavy though, and not easy to put into the car. Definitely need to have good muscles and patience to install! We got 2 for our 2 kids, and we use them all the time. I like the seats when being used! Good support , straps aren’t too thin or flimsy, they stay straight and the kids have more room to relax! They definitely don’t feel smashed in the car.

The Diono Radian 3R 3-in-1 Convertible Car Seat has proven to be an absolute game-changer for our family, and my son absolutely loves it!
The versatility of this car seat is outstanding – from rear-facing to forward-facing, it’s designed to accommodate different stages of a child’s growth. The 10-year lifespan is a fantastic feature, providing peace of mind knowing that it will last through various developmental milestones.
My son finds the seat incredibly comfortable, and the plush padding adds an extra layer of coziness. The reinforced steel frame gives a sense of security, and the installation process was surprisingly straightforward, thanks to the clear instructions provided.
What sets the Diono Radian 3R apart is its slim design, making it a perfect fit even in compact cars without compromising safety. The adjustable headrest and harness system ensure a snug and secure fit as my son continues to grow.
As a parent, I appreciate the ease of cleaning – the fabric is removable and machine washable, a lifesaver for those inevitable spills and messes.
If you’re in search of a convertible car seat that prioritizes both comfort and safety, the Diono Radian 3R is an excellent choice. It has made our car journeys much more enjoyable for my son, and as a parent, I couldn’t be happier with this purchase! 🚗👶🌟 #DionoRadian3R #ConvertibleCarSeat #SafetyFirst

I flew two trips with this and another seat. It is heavy for flights, but I managed, also fairly quick and easy to install in a plane seat. If flying with it again I would devise a way to lock it folded up and to carry it as a backpack. Usually it is installed in a full size truck and I like how it looks and is easy to get in and out of for my 4 almost 5 yr old. Full metal frame and latch design is not cheap so has me convinced it’s a good safe choice. The last seat I’ll need to buy I think.

We live this car seat – it’s slim, it’s heavy duty, and the kids are comfortable in their seats. We’ve put each of ours in a diono since birth and have never had any issues with these seats. The ONLY issue with them isn’t even in the seats themselves but the advertising. This product page says it supports booster mode for 40 lbs and more, but the instruction manual (and that of every diono we’ve ever owned) actually says to move to booster mode, a child must be at least 50 lbs (for high back). IF you are thinking about purchasing this seat for the lower weight requirement listed, I’d urge you not to purchase this product; however, if your primary concern is the utmost safety and taking conservative precautions to protect your child at every stage in life, I’d HIGHLY recommend ANY diono product UNLESS you have lap only belts (which diono has transparently admitted their seats would not likely be the safest option for). Whether you’re still searching for a high quality seat or a seasoned parent doing research on the next step, I STRONGLY encourage you to read the manuals for these seats before buying or taking the next step AND reading any FAQs or safety notices that have recently been released by diono themselves. Outside of all that, I still can’t do anything less than sing high praise for diono and I’d absolutely recommend any one of their seats to another parent.
